Follow us on over to our NEW BLOG!

The time has come to change formats. Our new website has an easy to use blog formatted right into our website. It only seems logical that we would use it instead of good old blog spot. So come on over and see what we are up to! Thanks!

Babajide & Pearl Wedding. Inspire Film Studios/Portland Wedding Photographers

Babajide and Pearl contacted us back in late August about their October 12th wedding and reception at Hotel Deluxe in Portland. As you can see their reception and dinner was quite exquisite, serving up both beautifully constructed salmon and steak dishes accompanied with a pre dinner Caesar salad and pearl and almond wedding cake. They definitely chose the nicer way to feed each other their first bite of wedding cake as newly weds.

We love weddings like this. Short and sweet. Simple yet elegant and a joy to photograph. An all around awesome couple to work with!

Victor & Cynthia Engagement Session- Inspire Film Studios/Portland Wedding Photographers

Part of our marketing plans over this past year have been to give away our engagement sessions in order to engage our couples in a more engaging manor...that's probably enough use of the word engage right?

This was the case with Victor and Cynthia. We had posted an add in a local free area market group on The lovely Facebook in hopes to give couples a chance to try our work out for free. No commitment, we just ask you to meet us for coffee is all. We get to talk about your wedding plans and how we can help capture them and then we get to move into the engagement session! We continue to connect and have the time to get to know our couples in the element of us photographing them. This helps us a lot, we get to know their comforts and where to draw the line in the cheese...

In Victor and Cynthia's case, we enjoyed working with them and are so glad that they will be booking us for their wonderful wedding at The Anderson Lodge in Yacolt next year in 2014.

We can't wait and are exited. This will be the third wedding we have booked for August 2014. Is god good or what? We are so blessed with such awesome opportunities.

High School Seniors Rushing In. Inspire Film Studios/Portland Portrait Photographers

Its been pretty crazy over the last week with senior sessions. No we aren't talking about taking your grandmas mug shot. As the deadlines for year book submissions draw near, we have been getting a lot of calls lately for senior portrait sessions and we are loving it. The weather has been awesome this week! Check out these shots we got from some of our seniors!

Gearing up for Agave!

Through a series of fortunate events, I met the marketing director for AGAVE Denim whose headquarters just so happen to be a few miles from our studio in Ridgefield!

It's time to seriously gear up my friends! New lights coming to the studio ASAP for our test shoot next week after we return from Cali..for..neye..yay... (No idea how to spell that out)

Stay tuned my friends! Good things are happening! God is good!

Investing in NEW equipment...What it means for our customers!

So as some of you may know (most of you probably don't), we choose to operate Inspire Film Studios from the profit that we make from our weddings and sessions. 90% or more of the money that we make is invested right back into our company, into our equipment, and into quality products for you to cherish.

Whats this mean for you!? This means that our quality keeps going up! Some will say that its the photographer who makes the shot but we think its both. We can be (are) the best photographers in the world and yet still be held back by the limitations of our cameras so as we grow our customer base, as you invest in us to capture your photos, we are constantly giving back to you through our quality of work.

Pictured below is close to $3000 dollars in quality lenses. Think about that the next time you choose Picture People at the mall or uncle Jerry to photograph your wedding!

Personal Journal or Place of Business?

I often wonder which I should target. A personal approach that shows my fun and goofy side, cheesy jokes and all or one that sticks to the facts and displays work?

I feel like no matter what, my writing will always come out with a nice helping of cheese. Everyone loves cheese or maybe it's everyone loves money...I can't remember. (See what I mean?) I feel as though, whether I have any regular readers at all, that this might be a place to blow off some steam, put it on paper, let it all out, give you the lowdown, the 411 and whatever else this next generation of kids are calling it.

I want this blog to be creative, edgy and personal. A place that if your looking to get know who will be behind your camera, you can read this and get a sense of who you will have the pleasure of working with. Let's face it, up until this point, there hasn't been a whole lot of rich text talking about Inspire Film Studios (SEO made me do it), but I would love if that could change. So as the writers of Hollywood say, I'm just going to word vommit all over this page. Whether you are a photographer or a potential client, I want you to know who I am and who we are as a business. I want you to know our struggles as well as our "winning" moments. I want to be transparent as to show that we are just people who can relate to you. People that still have to get up every morning and work hard to pay the bills.

Until next time,
